About Story Route
From the time we begin to form thoughts and words into stories, we set out on the Story Route.
Beliefs we absorb from parents, friends, jobs, or our cultures cling like barnacles to our psyches. We turn them into stories and hang them up as markers along our paths through life. They make the complex simple.
Sometimes the stories free us. Sometimes they chain us. If our stories are fluid, they expand to embrace new people, experiences and ideas. If they have sharp, cramped edges, they deflect anything that doesn’t fit our story line.
We live inside our stories. They define “normal” for us. Story Route is about stories, how we use them, what they mean, and why telling new stories can lead to change.
Join me on the Story Route. We’ll explore personal stories, stories organizations tell, even some stories countries tell.
